Organic Communication is copywriting, illustration and design produced by a single person. It will organically focus your message, as you don't have to waste time telling different creatives what you need and getting them to talk to each other. Because your message springs from a single source, it will make your marketing organic, as well.
As a result, your targeted prospects and clients will find your strategic marketing messages more compelling; and you will save precious time and avoid costly errors in the creation of them. It's a no-brainer! And only Nancy Hoffmann provides this service.
Nancy has a in-depth writing background writing strategic copy for industries as diverse as advertising, real estate and finance; and hands-on sales experience in real estate, life/health insurance and retail in New York City. She knows how to engage the reader's attention and close a deal. This —and her decades of design expertise — set her apart from other copywriters and make her a valuable ally in achieving your goals.
I've been writiing copy for many years: initially as a copywrter for some of the largest ad agencies in America. My clients included a restaurant chain, a men's clothing store; one of the biggest real estate developers in Chicago; and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, as well as UBS, entertainment firms, Macy's, various banks, and real estate brokers and developers, among many others.
Later, I worked directly in sales, including retail, real estate and life/health insurance. Knowing how to talk to prospects, show prospects their needs and help them meet those needs, can be truly gratifying.
I
am meticulous about spelling, usage and grammar, and my legal proofreading clients represent a selection of some of the world's biggest law firms, including Baker & McKenzie; Hughes, Hubbard; and Ropes & Gray.
As a freelance copywriter and consultant — one who understands the sales process from firsthand experience — I can bring a fresh approach to your project. I also have the marketing skills to know how to best reach your customers. I also have very extensive design expertise, so I can make your communications look as good as I make them sound.
I can edit your existing copy and turn it into elegant English that better expresses your goals. My marketing background is also useful when you have collateral, brochures, press releases and kits or other such materials to create.
Web content — both intranet and the internet — is something in which I have extensive experience. And corporate communications in general (white papers, brochures, case studies, reports, social media, PR, copyediting, articles/blogs) are right up my alley.
For more information about the kind of work I do, take a look at my services page.
I usually quote a flat fee for each project. This helps the customer know exactly what to expect and prevents surprises. The quote is based on several factors, such as the estimated number of hours the project will require, as well as the type of copy needed; how much research may need to be done; the nature of the product or service being marketed; whether or not there are existing materials or research to work from; etc.
To begin the process, I will need you to sign the project quote I create for you and make sure we both have copies of this signed document. I will then need 50% of the project fee upfront to begin the work. I invoice the other 50% after submitting the final draft, and that amount is due within 15 days of the invoice date.
I will also need some important information regarding your product or service, target audience, competition, previous advertising you've done, etc., before I start the initial draft. I will probably have additional questions after I receive this information. We can discuss these by e-mail, or we can meet in person, depending upon the situation.
In general, I like to have two weeks, to ensure that I can really produce the product that is best for you. In some cases — web sites or complex white papers, for example — I may require more time.
If you can't take this kind of time, however, contact me anyway, and I'll take a look at your project. If I find that I won't be able to meet your deadline, I'll refer you to a colleague who will be able to complete your "rush" job on time.
In any event, when I do take on a project, I guarantee that I will finish it on time.
I allow for two sets of revisions with most projects. These are included in the flat fee I quote you. Should you be somehow dissatisfied with the copy, I will gladly revise it, providing you tell me exactly where there is a problem and what you want me to change. In the end, I guarantee that you will be satisfied with the final result.
