About Nancy L. Hoffmann
Nancy was also exposed to the world of advertising at an early age. Her father was a highly successful commercial photographer, specializing in advertising (food and fashion) and some editorial (TIME Magazine), and she virtually grew up in the studio. Eventually, realizing her father's worst fears, she made her way into the ad biz, too.
In addition to many years in ad agencies—as first an art director, then as a web designer, and later, a copywriter—Nancy has also written materials for the residential real estate, financial, and life insurance markets on her own. Her clients have included companies as diverse as UBS; The Chicago Mercantile Exchange; entertainment firms; Macy's; various banks; and a few NYC real estate brokers and developers, among other clients and industries.
Furthermore, her legal proofreading clients represent a selection of some of the world's biggest top-tier law firms: including Baker & McKenzie; Clifford Chance; Davis, Polk & Wardwell; Hughes, Hubbard & Reed; Ropes & Gray; White & Case; and Debevoise & Plimpton.
Education
Nancy earned a BA in Fine Art and Humanities from Scripps College (one of the prestigious Associated Colleges of Claremont, CA), and a Masters Degree in Education from National/Louis University (Evanston, IL).
Languages
She is fluent in English and French; conversant in Spanish and German; and speaks basic Arabic (Lebanese/Syrian/Palestinian dialect), as well.
Currently, she lives and works in the Chelsea district of New York City.
